Daytime Summer Programs

Participants in the Colonial Camp Summer Programs experience Colonial-American history by living it firsthand. The activities are all hands-on, using authentic materials and methods.

One-Week Daytime Programs are conducted at four sites in Wake County, NC, for Participants who have completed the First Grade through the Sixth Grade. A one-week session costs only $259.00 per Participant.

The Programs extend from 9 am to 3 pm each day Monday through Friday. (Extended hours may be offered on a case-by-case basis. Inquire for more information.)

Participants cook a meal from scratch each day, with help from the Counselors and Staff. They participate in a full slate of activities, crafts, and stations from the period of the American Revolutionary War.

These activities may include: Colonial Clothing, Candle-Making, Sword-Fighting, Leather Crafts, Black Smithing, writing with Quill & Ink, Indian Warpaint, shooting a Flintlock Musket, primitive Archery, Soap-Making, primitive Cooking, Colonial Games, Scrimshaw, historic Bookbinding, Colonial Readings, and much more.
